- To bring members together at Castlemaine on the 2nd Saturday of October each year by means of a reunion to rekindle school day friendships.
- To foster and cherish the tie of affection for Castlemaine schools that members attended and assist those schools with a donation of books for student libraries or other educational aids as deemed appropriate by the committee.
- To financially assist the Castlemaine Secondary College Chaplaincy Program.
- To save and preserve our towns past in the form of publications, materials, photographs, etc. pertaining to the history of Castlemaine.
